Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Announces Funding for Primary Care Teams

Oct 18, 2016: The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care's Patient's First: Action Plan for Health Care promotes the importance of Primary Care as central to enhanced care for Ontarians. In order to achieve enahanced access to Primary Care Services, The MOHLTC has announced a strong commitment to investing in Primary Care in Ontario with funding to support the recruitment and retention of non-physician health care professionals. Aimed at addressing pay inequities in the primary care sector, the funding will be rolled out over the next three years. This is exceptional news for Primary Care teams and, most importantly, for enhanced access to excellent inter-professional care care.
